Frequently asked questions about West LA

When will the payment be due?

Deposit payment must be paid within 48hrs of signing a lease agreement and The first month’s rent must be paid 3 days before the move-in date

Do all Tripalink apartments come furnished in Seattle?

Tripalink WLA offers options with furnished or unfurnished units, furnished units include: desk, chair, bedframe and mattress.

What’s the screening process and requirements?

Tenants and co-signer are required to apply and pay the $38 application fee. Requirements for SSN holders are: credit score above 680 and income 2.5x the rent/ co signer score above 700 + income 3x the rent, no criminal history + credit history accepted.

If I am an international student, I do not have a credit score, do I still qualify?

EX. The answer is yes! For international students, please make sure you provide us the copy of your passport, visa page, I20, and bank statements. For J1 visa holders, please provide your DS2019 along with your application!

International students are welcomed! We require International students to have Visa/I-20, School admission letter, and financial documents.

Are utility fees included in the rent?

WLA Tripalink offers units with and without utilities included. For units with utilities included in the rent Tripalink will cover up to $100/tenant in the unit. If the unit reaches over the cap the tenants will be responsible for paying the remaining balance.

Do you need to open any water, electricity or internet accounts by yourself?

WLA Tripalink has the convenience of paying for water, electricity, and internet fee and rent all in the appfolio website.

What is renter's insurance? Do I need to buy renter's insurance?

Renters insurance is insurance that protects both tenants and property owners property/tenants personal items against water leak, fire. Tenants are responsible for acquiring renters insurance prior to the move in date. Tripalunk offers insurance for the cost of $13/month. You can also aquire your own insurance from your preferred company with a $100k personal liability.

Is the area around the apartment safe?

I can’t guarantee anyone’s safety but you need a key to enter the building and we have security camera in the lobby.

How do I pick up the keys to my apartment?

Tenants will be able to pick up their keys the day of their lease start date after 1PM at our WLA Tripalink Leasing Office or 12pm after their lease date Monday-Friday.

When will I receive the move-in instruction?

Move-in Instructions will be sent out the week of your move in date. Instructions will also include a checklist, and property manager information.

What should I do if the facilities in the room are broken (e.g. the toilet is clogged)? Who usually pays for this repair?

You could always go to portal and put the maintenance requests!

If I have a friend looking for housing, what’s the referral policy?

Yes, if you refer someone and the person sign the lease, you and the new resident get $150 for the referral bonus!
